Rabbi explains the spiritual light switch 0:04
You know the story where the the youth group came to the רבי and asked him all these questions and
like one of the things they asked like what a רבי is. So the רבי said like there's this imagine this this, you know, whole powerhouse and you get connected to it, you have this infinite power, whatever, but the you know, that there'll be a the switch, the light switch is off.
My job is to put your hand on the light switch. That's what the רבי said. In other words, that every Jew is are connected to this infinite ability from God and everything, this infinite potential, and my job is to show them how to use it if they want to,
not to make them use it, but to just show them where the light switch is. If they want to activate it, this is how you do it.
Then they asked the רבי, they heard that you can make miracles, we heard you can make, is it true? So the רבי said that, you know, if when a Jew is connected to תורה and מצוות, you know, then yes, they can do miracles, and they're higher than, you know, nature, whatever. And then the רבי said, "Would you like to see me make a miracle?"
A simple miracle: committing to a better tomorrow 1:07
So they said, "Yes." So the רבי said, "If everyone here, myself included, will commit that tomorrow will be better than today, that will be a great miracle."
And people, oh it seems like, "Oh, it's a stupid thing." But for a person to like go out of their nature and be able to like have מסירות נפש or whatever, and like go out of their limitations, is really a miracle. And we don't even appreciate what what that means, but that's that's really showing that we're not bound by habit and circumstance, and it really reveals our בחירה, which goes all the way up to עצמות ממש.
In order to in order to have בחירה, you have to ממש be beyond everything.
