Abraham: Founder of the First Chabad House 0:00
Yeah, the whole thing of אברהם was that he made the first חב״ד house. He made a tent and he was like in other words, there were people that practiced יידישקייט before אברהם, and there was the whole ישיבה of שם ועבר, and they were learning תורה and they were keeping the whole תורה. There were whole huge groups of people that kept the whole תורה, and they were קיים, and they did things לפנים משורת הדין.
The thing that אברהם originated is that he had self-sacrifice for God, but not just for his personal connection to God, but to spread Godliness to the world. He was the first person that went on an active campaign to spread God and the truth to people, and to the point of having self-sacrifice to do that. And that trait of having self-sacrifice to spread God changed his whole being, and made so that physically he became like a different person, because of that ביטול and that מסירות נפש and that יגיעה that he put in, and actually, like, refined his actual גוף, his actual body, to the point that it became like a hereditary trait.
Inherent Jewish Self‑Sacrifice and Divine Desire 1:12
That a Jew inherently has self-sacrifice for God in its potential state, meaning that his innermost desire is to do what God wants, and all other things are irrelevant and secondary to that. So it's inherent that a Jew has this desire to just to do what God wants.
That is what a Jew is, that our job is to reveal Godliness, not just for personally, but mainly for all the everybody else in the world. It's a היום יום, that the reason that God blessed אברהם and that He liked him so much, was mainly because he was instructed his children and his household, that he was, you know, bringing to other people. That was the main thing that God liked.
The main thing of a Jew is to be like God's שליח in the world. That's the whole thing the רבי The רבי didn't just, like, invent this שליח thing cuz it's like a useful mechanism, you know, and then start saying these cute שיחות about like how the purpose of a Jew is to be God's שליח. It's the other way around. There's a basic thing in תורה that the purpose of a Jew in this world is to be God's שליח, to reveal God to everybody in the world, and go around making a חב״ד house.
Continuity of Chabad Houses from Abraham to Jacob 2:26
And that is authentic Judaism, and that is like the mainstay and the backbone of what authentic Judaism is. A חב״ד house is the primordial Jewish home. It's not like it's new invention really. That is the way אברהם was, that's what יצחק was, that's what יעקב was. They each had a different style of חב״ד house, but that was their life, was a חב״ד house. That's what Jews did: they made חב״ד houses, and they went around helping people physically and spiritually with the main intent of trying to bring them closer to God and reveal God in the world.
