The Primordial Will and the Ten Sefirot 0:00
והכל הוא ברצון הנעלם הנקרא רצון קדמון הנ״ל, מקור כל הרצונות, כולל עשר ספירות. So, this is the way This is the the רצון הנעלם, which is called the רצון קדמון, the source of all the רצונות and it includes ten ספירות. על דרך זה, so so too the the the first רצון that that that God had for the whole world is like this.
It's like a first, one general circle that includes ten all the ten things in it, in a way of a עיגול בתוך עיגול, in a way of a circle inside of a
circle, עד עיגול דסוף מעשה, until the circle of the סוף מעשה. So first there's the רצון for that a דירה בתחתונים, which is the most general, and then there's a רצון that it should be, you know, in a certain a certain form, which is like, you know, אצילות, the the inner thing of אצילות, that it has to fit with a certain form, and then there's the רצון that it should there should be like a certain the the form should be associated with certain things, and then it should be a certain מדות, until it should be a certain סוף מעשה, which is the final עיגול, that God wants this world exactly the way it is.
Because on the level of like מדות already, you could still have infinite worlds that would meet those specifications.
והעיגול העליון, the first circle, the highest circle, הכולל הכל, which includes everything, הוא רצון הקדמון הנ״ל, is the is this רצון קדמון. That everything exists within the context of that only.
And the only reason why God wants everything, at least the way He set up the השתלשלות, He only wants it because it's it's part of this רצון of a דירה בתחתונים.
That's the main thing, is that everything only exists to be part of a דירה בתחתונים. That's it. And it doesn't have any meaning without and and and it alone doesn't ever reach it.
So that means that like the גילוי in אצילות doesn't really express that thing properly. So, you know, it's just that He chose that it should it should go through that thing, but that doesn't really fully capture it.
You know, you have you have to read between the lines. Nothing does. You have to be able to read between the lines. You have to be able to appreciate, you know, like giving flowers, that doesn't express anything. That's like such a stupid little, you know.
That's the thing, that the עצם stay it stays in a way of a מקיף over it, that it's like it's just like the thought, the, you know. But it doesn't come into any כלי, really. So in other words, you see it though from the context, that you're using it to express that thing, but it doesn't really properly do it.
It's just like a סימן, it's like a token thing. That's the idea of like ציצית, you know, that that that the טלית represents like the this some like big מקיף that goes around everything, and then in order to express it to the next level, you have to have strings that come out, which represent like that you're just making some token, like, representation for it. עד עיגול דסוף מעשה שהוא הרצון לסוף מעשה, this is the רצון for סוף מעשה, להיות כל אשר חפץ עשו ממש הוא,
that Hashem wanted to actually do everything that He wanted, to actually make the world.
והעיגול העליון הכולל הכל, the first circle that includes everything, הוא רצון הקדמון הנ״ל, וכשבא הרצון לעצמו הזה להיות בפועל ממש, and when this רצון for Himself comes that that He actually wants to do it, when you, so it goes, first there's the רצון that, you know, that that just that his taste, and he's thinking about a particular thing, like say the guy wants a home. So, "Oh, you know, I'd really like to have my own space," and he starts picturing, dreaming about like if he would have his dream house, how he would like it to be, and what he thinks is cool, and what he thinks is, you know, how he would like it, and he makes this whole picture until he figures out, you know, he starts even looking for a particular houses and whatever, but he's not actually thinking of doing it.
It's just like, it's not really, he's thinking of doing it, but it's not really thinking of doing it. It's all just like kind of dreaming, he's not serious, you know.
From Dreaming to Commitment: Deciding to Act 4:42
Then there comes a certain point where he decides he's actually going to do it. When he figured out clearly enough what he, you know, this thing, he decides he's actually going to do it, and then his whole perspective changes.
Now it becomes once he he decides on a particular that he's actually going to do it, he has to now stop dreaming and start, you know, doing it. His focus becomes the opposite.
Until now, his focus is on what he wants. And so he was it always had to be transparent to remember that the main thing is what he wants, and that he can choose anything that, you know, like they tell kids, you can be whatever you want to be.
Yeah, it became a particular רצון, but when you actually want to do it, so then you have to change your focus. In other words, when it's in עיגולים, your focus is on the main thing that you're focusing, the biggest thing that surrounds everything and defines everything is what you want. Or in other words, first what you have to do, you know, like there's a story of the פריערדיקער רבי when he was coming to America, on the boat he told he told his secretary to get take out paper and he's going to dictate and you should write it down, and he dictated to him his plan for America, that he wants to make מרכז לענייני חינוך and קה"ת and מחנה ישראל.
And he said, "Why am I doing it here? Why don't I wait till I get to America and evaluate the situation there, and then I'll do it? Then I'll make the plan." He said, "Because I don't want to come there and already be influenced by what I see, and then my plan will be an American Judaism. I want to have a European Judaism, an uncompromised, you know, ideal of the way things should be, right?
Two Steps: Setting Goals Before Worldly Considerations 6:36
And when I get to America" So in other words, what? There's always two steps. First, you have to make a goal without considering When you're deciding on your goal, you shouldn't consider the outside world. You should decide, in theory, if everything could go just your dream, what would your dream be? What's your ideal? And there the focus has to be the biggest thing has to be the top priority, the top circle has to be what you want.
What would you really want? What would really make you happy, right? Then everything else has to be flexible to that. It has to be, you know, transparent to that. Then when you decide you're actually going to do it, so you pick you already picked a certain thing you want to do based on this, a certain dream. Now you put that down, and that becomes your top priority, is this goal, and you make that the top, and everything has to fit within that.
You have to figure out, how can I get it to be like that? And that's not compromisable. It has to look exactly like that. You say, "Well, that's going to be hard." I don't care if it's going to be hard. What do I have to do to do it?
You know, it's going to cost you a lot of money, take a lot of time. I don't care, I'm going to do it. What do I have to do? I need a million dollars? Okay, I'll get a job then. I need to get a job, you know, I'll take out a loan, or I don't know, I'll ask my parent, whatever it is. You figure out, how can I do it?
So now everything becomes defined when you're going to do it בפועל ממש, it's the opposite. You make the סוף מעשה the top thing, you make that the king of everything, and that's totally not flexible, and that defines everything else.
That's the difference between עיגולים and יושר. When you actually want to do it, that's יושר. That's the ספירות, 10 ספירות of יושר, and there the מעשה becomes the top.
So right, so once you decide what you're really You say, "What are you in the mood to do tonight?" So you're thinking, you know, your choices aren't, you know, your main consideration is, what would you really like to do?
Once you figure out that what you'd really like to do, if everything would go perfect, you don't see any way of doing it, whatever, doesn't matter, don't think about whether there's a way to do it. In theory, you would like to go get pizza. So you decide, okay, that's it, I'm going to do it. You make a firm commitment that I'm going to do it, I'm going to figure out a way to get the pizza.
Firm Commitment: Turning Pizza Dream into Action 8:52
So then you have to start figuring out, okay, now I need first I need to get I need to get dressed. You have to go find your clothes, then you got to get wheels, got to figure out, you know, way to get there, transportation, you got to get money, where am I going to get the cash from, you start scraping around for cash, you know, everything, you know.
And then finally you go, you know, you find a way to get there and pay for it and everything. Or if that doesn't work, you can make it yourself. You know, there's all different ways that you can figure out to do it. If you really want to do it, you'll be able to figure out a way. אין דבר העומד בפני הרצון. Right?
So it's the same thing. First, השם was thinking that, you know, He wants to make the דירה בתחתונים, and He was planning it out in עיגולים, so everything was transparent to this רצון, that it should, you know, be the way He wants, reveal what His the ענין that He wants. Once He figured out that a certain form, a certain מעשה, and He decided He wants to have that come out בפועל ממש, so then that becomes the top thing, And now everything else that happens in the השתלשלות from now on is going to be according to that סוף מעשה.
That becomes the כתר. The מלכות of the higher one becomes the כתר of the lower one, that's it, that becomes the king. Everything has to fit with that רצון, and you can't tell, the king tells you that, "I want you to move this mountain," you can't tell him no, you have to figure out a way to do it.
And it's going to happen. What? No, you're going from either from עיגולים to יושר or from יושר to עיגולים, either way. No, but here we're talking about going from עיגולים to יושר. You just finished the ten ספירות of עיגולים, and now your מלכות of עיגולים is now becoming the top thing that is totally set.
But it's in a way, it's not just like a normal מלכות of עליון, כתר of תחתון, it's like this a little different type of thing. Because here,
in a way it's not the same, it's not the same מלכות. In other words, that that since your main רצון now is that it should actually happen, so you still have to figure out exactly how, what it's going to look like. You know, you just decide you're going to make a home like this, but you have to figure out what the house is going to look like still, you didn't do that yet.
But your focus is still on the physical building. You don't care about so much the planning and the רצון for it. In other words, the רצון for the house is only to get the house, only to motivate you to actually get the house.
Because you don't really care about wanting the house, you want the home. There's two רצונות. The רצון of יושר is the lowest thing. You don't care about the רצון of יושר. The רצון of עיגולים is the highest thing, that's the main thing that you care about, is that you should get the pleasure that you want, you know what I mean? But the fact that you will get a pleasure from getting the physical building is you just create that as a total like low means to an end, just to get you to make the house.
It's just like a candy, it's a bait. You totally don't care whether you, you know, enjoy, that's the thing you care about the least, is whether you enjoy finding a house, house shopping.
And you see people usually don't enjoy house shopping very much, cuz it's like the flimsiest רצון and תענוג on the level of, you know what I mean?
Because it's you only create the רצון to go house shopping enough to motivate you to actually do it. As soon as you get enough of a motivation to do it, then you don't care about it anymore, if it's just enough to get you to go do it. And the same thing, your שכל is a little bit bigger. You need to have the שכל because you need it to make it in the right way, and the מדות are more important, that you should feel good about it, you know?
That shows, you know, more, and the main thing is that you should actually have the house, that's the main thing that you care about.
