The Newlywed House Analogy 0:06

וכן בשינוי יחודם שבכל פרט ופרט. So yeah, so this is like like a משל of a newlyweds that they're building their house. And so the wife goes down one day to look at the you know, they're building it from scratch, so she goes down to see what's going on, and you know, they dug the thing, they poured the cement for the foundation, and then they start putting up the frame.

And so she goes and they're pointing out to her, somebody's you know, giving her a tour, what's going on, showing her the blueprint, and what's going to be where. He says here's going to be the the kitchen and the dining room, and the you know, living room and the bedrooms and the guest room, and then he says and this is going to be the pool room, you know, for like shooting pool.

And she goes, "What? I don't want a pool room. Make it a guest room, or make it make the kitchen bigger. I need a bigger kitchen. That's too small. I need to have you know, a מילכיק, פליישיק and a פרווה island, and you know, פסח, made a פסח kitchen. I don't know, you know."

And so he says you know, "Well, I can't do that. I'm just the the contractor, you know, you have to go to the boss."

So first she goes to their boss, and he goes, "Well, I I can't do. You have to go to the architect and engineer, you know, I'm not I can't change the blueprint." So then he goes to the architect and engineer, and he goes, "Sorry lady, you got to go to your husband. I just, you know, I'm just you know, we agreed to this and it was based on what he wanted.

I just drew up the plans. I didn't really I'm not I didn't really you know, invent it." Even though he's he you know, he can like know what's like a structurally sound and stuff like that, but you know, the what's going to be where, you know, "I didn't decide that." Then she goes to her husband, and she says, "I don't want a pool room." He goes, "What?

Honey, I want a pool room, why not? So much fun." She goes, "No, I don't want. I want you know, a פסח kitchen or bigger kitchen or a guest room or whatever."

And he goes, "Oh, okay." So then he tells them to change it, and he changes everything. So we see from this like this משל, that if you want to change anything in השתלשלות, even the smallest little פרט, all the way in עשיה, you have to go all the way up to God.

Changes Require Going All the Way to God 2:12

Cuz nothing in השתלשלות has the jurisdiction to make any change. You know, it's like when you're talking in the phone. It's just its its whole purpose is to give it over what you're saying without changing it.

That and and we like we have phones with static. God set the השתלשלות it's perfectly set up, and it's not possible for it to put any of its own input in and change it, just faithfully gives over what God wants.

So if you want to change anything you know, each level is going to say, "Well, I you have to go to my boss." And you have to go to כתר, and then that comes from the מלכות, the upper world, and that goes keep going up and up and up until finally you get to you know, the רצון קדום, and it says, "Well, I come from the קו."

And you go to the קו, and you say, "Well, I'm just the היולי. I I don't have any פרטים, you have to go to God. He's the one that measures things out for me." Then you go to God, and He says, "Oh." And that's the thing is that that also that like there, you see with the husband, his real רצון is he doesn't really care if it's put this or that, he just wants that he should be happy, him and his wife should be happy.

Husband’s True Intent: Measuring Happiness 3:24

He didn't realize, he he thought what? He thought that would make her happy, but if she says, "I'd rather have it a different way," then he'll make it a different way.

Still, so he didn't change his רצון, the עצם stays the same, but he just measures it out differently. So that's the same thing with us, when we דאווען, or like we think of בטחון, or all these different things, whenever we ask God to change, God can make you know, the way the world is different and still accomplish the same goal. He can just measure it out differently.

To Him it's the same, it doesn't matter. Cuz we asked Him for this. That's what it says. We say in דאווענינג on שבת, you know, that Hashem made the world according to His רצון, and the רצון of the צדיקים, and the רצון of all the Jews.

It was your fault. You you planned it out with Him, and you picked what part you're going to be have in the world, you know, your life and everything, your goal and your challenges.

And then you come down here, and then you start complaining, and He goes, "What do you mean? I thought that's what you said that's what you wanted," you know. Yeah, you wanted to have the challenges, that's the main thing you wanted, you know, you can't complain now. That's the thing though, in order to change it, you have to reveal all the way back to the עצם in yourself, and then God you have to like, you know, if you're as long as you're dealing with within like lower levels, so you can whine, but even within yourself, doesn't mean that you really want it to be different.

You know, you you have to like be aware of what's really going on to really be able to know if you want it different, and then you can ask, and then God will change it for you.

Right. So the same thing וכן בשינוי וכן בשינויי היחודים שבכל הפרצופים מא"ק עד עקב דא"ק בסוף עשיה, the changes in all the faces from א"ק all the way down to the heel of א"ק, all the way in עשיה, which is like the teacher, sometimes he shows a nice face, and you know, sometimes he shows a strict face and mean face, and he punishes.

Variations in the Teacher’s Facets 5:03

So all the way through the whole השתלשלות, whether God shows it in a big גילוי, like כמו ששינוי מזמן בית המקדש לזמן הגלות, that the time of בית המקדש is like the teacher is like, okay, now we're going on a field trip, and he's rewarding them. And then the time of גלות is like he's saying, just sit and do nothing, or sit and do you know homework, just, you know, make them sweat a little bit.

Because if they don't want to do the יגיעה on their own to learn, so we'll just, you know, it refines them to make them just do יגיעה even if it's on nothing, really. So that's like גלות, that we have to do much more יגיעה, much more העלאת מ"ן to get any little מ"ד. But God doesn't, you know, give us any freebies as far as גילוי אלקות.

כהאי גוונא, ובדרך כלל הרי אנו אומרים, יהי רצון מלפניך, but and this is in general, we say that if we want to make any change, we say יהי רצון מלפניך, may it be Your will before You. In other words, מלפני עצמותך ממש, we're actually referring to God Himself, saying God's עצם, we're asking Him, You change everything.

שלמעלה מיו"ד כוחות העצמיים גם כן, which is even higher than יו"ד כוחות העצמיים in like יחיד, higher than the way that the ten ספירות are included in יחיד, לשנות את הרצון, in other words, before השם put His עצם into the ten ספירות to say that He's a חפץ חסד, say, so stop being a חפץ חסד, you know.

When, you know, the גוים are being mean to us, we ask Him to stop being a חפץ חסד, and He should be a חפץ גבורה.

גם כן לשנות את הרצון הפשוט שכבר נמשך בעצמות האור דאין סוף, we can actually, not only can we ask, like I was saying before, just the way that the רצון is going to come out, we can actually ask Him to change the whole goal, the whole רצון פשוט. Yeah, yeah, but then we can ask God, forget about this דיבור המתחיל then. We could ask Him whatever we want.

אפשר לומר מזה, right? גם לשנות את הרצון הפשוט שכבר נמשך בעצמות האור דאין סוף, ולבוא בשיעור ששיער בעצמו עד סיום הקו באופן אחר. We ask Him to change the whole השערה, the whole plan of how He had it all measured out all the way down to עשיה to come in a different way, כמו מדין לחסד, וכהאי גוונא, like we ask Him to go from דין to חסד, like on ראש השנה, we say, please, I know that you had in your plan to do it like this, in a hard way, we don't want to do it the hard way, make it the nice way.

Altering Divine Plan: From Judgment to Kindness 7:28

Or sometimes we ask the other way, that, you know, give it to them, give it to the enemy, our enemies. וכנ"ל בסוף אות, it says ה', but it's supposed to be ט', end of אות ט'.

בענין אני הוי' לא שניתי, like we explained at the end of ט' about that I am God, I do not change. בין רצון של חסד לדין.

באור הראשון שלפני הצמצום, הוטעם לעיל באות י'. Like we explained in אות י', that really the עצם is the same, so even like with a משל of the husband with the house, he really just wants like there, he just wants, you know, to make him happy, so the fact that he's changing the room it is it's not really a change, it's just to change the way it's being measured out.

Or like with a teacher, that when sometimes he's strict, sometimes he's nice, it's really the same guy, and the same רצון, the same עצם רצון.

But even if he would change the רצון, it'd still be the same guy. Because the whole רצון is really just coming it's just him, that he's just doing it in different ways.

So מצד that, it's really all the same. It's like in אות י', that we see that really the עצם is higher than being a חפץ חסד or being, and he doesn't have to come into it, he just also has that ability, but he doesn't, and he's not stuck in being a חפץ חסד.

בענין חפץ חסד שבעצמות, היינו שנקרא בעצמות וכו', שיש בו ג' מדריגות, עד שבא בדבר פרט וכו', in other words, מצד the עצם there it's not doesn't have to come out דווקא a certain way. He has to make these whole all these צמצומים before it comes out that it should be like this. So if you ask it to change it, it's not really an essential thing that it should be one way over the other way.

First of all, he doesn't have to be a nice guy. Second of all, even if he's going to be a nice guy, he can want it in different ways. So just because you're nice doesn't mean, you know, what are you going to do? He doesn't have to want to give this guy shoes, he can want something else, depends on the situation.

So even, you know, a nice guy is you can want through different, you know, and then even once you know what you want to do, you can have different plans of how to do it.

And each level totally doesn't, you can change that level, and it totally doesn't affect the higher levels. כמבואר באריכות באות י"א, like explained at length in אות י"א. וכשאמרו אליו ולא למדותיו, and when we say you should דאווען to God and not to His מדות, מדובר גם על מדותיו העצמיים, even His מדות העצמיים. So we shouldn't even like say, oh like think that God is essentially a nice guy and so you should just give a sob story and He's going to give you what you want.

Avoid Manipulating God with Sob Stories 10:00

You know what you know what happens It's like you go to a person, you give him a sob story, and he knows you're trying to to, and you just think he's a nice guy and so he's gonna feel bad for you, that's called being manipulative, and he's gonna slap you. You know, so instead of getting חסד, he'll דווקא do the opposite to show, because you're not recognizing him.

So, and once you're if you're trying to like play off of somebody's like nature, like let's say they're nice or whatever, and you're trying to like use reverse psychology, or you know what I mean, or a sob story, whatever, some sort of like trick like that, so you're really trying to manipulate him. It's the same thing like if you take the guy's hand and you try to reach it into his pocket and make it take the wallet out and give you the money.

You're not recognizing that he's there and that he's choosing to do it, you're making it like he's just this like thing, this piece of meat, you know, and it's a very big insult, and you deserve to get punched in the face.

So that's what happens, a person doesn't recognize that God is totally, that's the thing, like it says that like they דאווען, they ask for like a חסד חנם. They realize that God doesn't have to do it and, you know, that there's and it's totally you're דאווענינג, asking Him: To You, I know, I realize You don't have to do it, nothing that I can do can make You do it, and I'm just asking You sincerely, would You please, you know, do me a favor.

And then it brings out the רצון, but you have to recognize the עצם. שבאור העצמות מפני שהעצמות אין סוף הוא למעלה מכל ענין מדות כלל וכו' ודאי, because really the עצמות אין סוף is not affected that is in any of these מדות really. It's really higher than that. וזהו אנת הוא דמיחד לון וכו', this is what we say that you connect them all, you unite all the ספירות, אנת דווקא, דווקא God Himself, His עצם.

שזהו אנת הוא חד ולא בחושבן יוד ספירן וכו', this is like we say that you are one, but not the חושבן of the ten ספירות, in other words, the way that God is higher than all the ten ספירות.

And דווקא because He's higher than all of them and He's not stuck, that's why He can unite them all because to Him there the limitations don't exist and they're not really different things, it's really just His עצם. And then He was מצמצם His עצם to reveal in different ways, but really, yeah, it's like masks and tools and stuff.

Unity of God’s Attributes Across All Levels 12:02

But not only that, it's true they're all coming from His עצם, they're really one thing. They're really He He is the kind guy, and He is the mean guy.

אנת הוא, it's really Him. And so really the kindness and the meanness are really the same thing. It looks different to you only, but it's really the same thing.
