Paradox of Opposites Unified by the קו 0:01

מזה הטעם for this reason יובן תירוץ על ב' ענינים הפכים שנמצא בקו זה. And now we understand, we can answer the seeming paradox of two things we see in this קו that seem to be opposite things: ה-א' אשר בכחו דוקא להכליל שמאל בימין וכולי that the קו can make התכללות between opposites, that the קו is able to show you how two things that seem like they're opposites can work together and they're really one thing, וכולי שהוא בחינת התכללות ויחודים של כל האורות המתפשטים מכתר דא"ק עד מלכות דאצילות

that the קו is דוקא what makes everything work together. All the אורות from כתר דא"ק to מלכות דאצילות, which is like the משל on a person, all the different רצונות and כחות, the כח of חכמה and the כח whatever, they all work together that you control it and that you see there's a uniting thing. There's a person that's using them. That's like your choice, that you're like conscious control of all of those things, those faculties and abilities and whatever, and stuff like that.

עד שעל ידו דוקא יולך האור בכלי שאינו שלו until דוקא from the קו, the light can go into its opposite vessel even, כמו אור החסד בכלי הגבורה וכולי that you can decide that you're going to express your חסד through גבורה.

So you'll be nice to the person through being mean or strict, right? You're not a machine, you're not stuck. That's the point, that you're not stuck in a certain system, and so you can, you know, you can you have free choice to do whatever you want. כמו אור החסד וכולי כמו שנתבאר במקום אחר באריכות בענין ו' דוהנורא like it explains at length in other places, in other about the ו' of והנורא that we say הגדול, הגיבור, והנורא in שמונה עשרה, הגדול is חסד, הגיבור is גבורה, and הנורא is תפארת, the middle line.

And there you see the ו', the קו. The קו is what the thing that puts the right and left together, that's able to put the חסד and גבורה together and connect them, which is והנורא, which is like wondrous, that comes through the power of the קו, which is the ו', to be able to put the two together. And that's where you like see the עצמיות of the ו' is like it's the עצם thing that goes straight down through everything equally, it's like that control.

That הגדול means like that he's infinite, transcendent, whatever. הגיבור is that he can limit himself to be revealed like to be like a limited thing. And הנורא is that he can put the two together and make the limited thing infinite and the infinite thing limited until it's ממש like one thing. That's the thing of the קו. Right, that's the way that God's revealed, is that He can do whatever He wants, and He can put things together however He wants.

The Measuring Line (קו המדה) Creates Distinctions 2:56

וה-ב' and the second thing that we see in the קו, מה שנקרא בשם קו המדה, it's called the measuring line דוקא, למדוד כל האורות והכלים וכולי to measure all lights and vessels, to set their limits of how far they go and where what's going to be the definition of חכמה, what's going to be the definition of בינה, where their boundaries are going to be, and say here's חכמה, and here's בינה, see, you know, make the distinctions.

כנודע בענין הקו שנקרא אמת הבנין it's called like the measuring rod וכולי, שזהו היפך התכללות לכאורה which is the opposite of התכללות seemingly, because that is the ability to create distinctions and create a system and make, it's making false distinctions really, that's what that's the real thing of the קו is that the teacher sees it as all being one thing. And then for the benefit of the student he like creates these like kind of false distinctions and systems to make it like as if addition is is different than subtraction and has nothing to do with subtraction and it's like a separate subject.

And he does it to make it like simple, like so this is you start with this. But it's really not like that to him. So seemingly the whole thing of the קו is to make differentiation.

And the obvious answer is היינו הך, this is that. If you make the rules, you can break the rules, it's synonymous.

Saying that I have the ability to make whatever rules I want, also means I can break the rules, like we were talking about like in law. The fact that you decide how to interpret the law really means there is no law, that you're always doing whatever you want. So it's really the same thing.

You're setting rules and you're breaking rules, and it's all really just you doing what you want, and it just looks like two different things, but it's really it's really the same thing, you're doing what you want. That's the קו.

Rules and Their Breaking Are Both Truth 4:41

Sometimes God wants us to make rules, sometimes He wants to break rules. אך הענין הוא דשניהם אמת the ענין is that they're both true. ואדרבה and not only they're both true, on the contrary, הא בהא תליא they're interdependent, it's ממש one thing, משום דשרש זה הקו מכח הראשון דעצמות אין סוף שלפני הצמצום הוא בא, know? So since this קו comes from the כח of the עצמיות אין סוף before the צמצום, in other words that God is is unlimited, He can do whatever He wants, and there's no limitations, וכנ״ל בענין בארכיה וארכא דווקא נהיר נהורא, like we said that it's דווקא from God's light that we're seeing the light, the cause of the קו, that He's really revealing Himself, and so there's really no limitations and He can do whatever He wants, so therefore there are no limitations.

ובכח האור דהעצמות דאין סוף ודאי יש לעשות בחינת התכללות ויחודם של כל ההפכים בכל ההשתלשלות מראש ועד סוף וכולי, surely the עצמות אין סוף can connect and unite everything in the whole השתלשלות, it's all one thing. It's like the essence of everything, and so it transcends all the differences, and it can, you know, bring them all together, make them all get along. So surely it's able to connect everything, right?

Because it's coming from the עצמות אין סוף. ועד אחר המלכות דאצילות, וכמאמר אנת הוא דמייחד לון ומקשר לון וכולי, like it says that you are the one that unites them and ties them together and connects them, אנת הוא מלגאו ומלבר וכולי, you are on the inside and the outside, meaning that to you the פנימיות and חיצוניות are the same thing also. There's no inside and outside, it's all the same thing.

You unite everything. In other words, that דווקא God's עצם, אנת, דווקא you are able to unite everything, because you transcend all limitations. וכן ענין שם מ״ה מלגאו דיורך כל אצילות וכולי, this is the ענין of the שם מ״ה that's on the פנימיות of the ספירות, which is the path of the that unites אצילות, that is the קו. The קו is the inner שם מ״ה, which is the inner ביטול, the inner of like the soul of אצילות, which is God's choice, the way He's consciously controlling and choosing how everything should be.

Inner Name מ״ה as the Core of קו 6:32

That's the ענין of the קו. וכהאי גוונא, הכל הוא מצד הארת אור העצמות דאין סוף שבקו זה, that's because the קו is shining with the אור of the עצמות דאין סוף, שהולך ונמשך עד למטה במלכות סוף כל דרגין, all the way down to מלכות, the lowest levels, the עצמות אור אין סוף can shine all the way down there and reveal how it's really not limited, it's really God Himself, and break all the

limitations. והיא הנותנת דווקא, yet this itself is the reason שיש בכחו למדוד מדה וגבול לכל, why He's able to limit and measure everything, set a limitation for everything, לכל אורות וכלים, in all the lights and vessels, ולכל יחוד משפיע ומקבל, in every union between a משפיע and מקבל it should be דווקא a certain way, כמה יהא מ״ד ומ״ן וכולי, how much the משפיע is going to come to the מקבל and how much the מקבל is going to have to come up to the משפיע.

Yeah, that's the idea of מ״ד and מ״ן, מיין דכרין and מיין נוקבין, right? מצד בחינת רשימו המגביל לכל אור העצמות באופנים שונים, because of the רשימו which limits the light of the עצמות in different ways. So you see that even the רשימו is the power to limit the אור of the עצמות in infinite ways, any possible way that He wants. And so since the קו is God choosing basically which combination to make between the transcendent, you know, עצמות אין סוף גילוי and the גבול רשימו גילוי, it's the same thing, if you say that He can choose to make it as bright as He wants, it means you can make it as dark as He wants.

It's the same, you know, if He wants it to be as unlimited or as limited as He wants, He can do whatever He wants. כמו ששיער בעצמותו אור דאין סוף שלפני הצמצום וכולי, however He decided in עצמות אין סוף before the צמצום.
