Rashimu as a Condensed Hidden Summary 0:00

ואף שהרשימו עם כל זה ודאי שהכל נכלל בו בקיצור, even though it's only רשימו, surely everything is hidden there in a short way, על ידי זה הצמצום דווקא, through this very צמצום, כנ״ל, cuz the צמצום is in a way that it's stuffing everything into the רשימו, it's not taking it away. It's putting it in in like a קיצור way where it's where it's hiding it all inside the רשימו.

In other words, what does that mean? That means that God is like being מצמצם Himself that this is what He is. He decided that He's going to be a squirrel. That's really what we're saying, that it's ממש Him. And that means it's His whole עצם is there, but you just don't see it. That's like with the soul coming in the body, that on the one hand it comes into the body, and so you say that that's ממש you, and that's why you would get angry if somebody like hurt your body, cuz it's you.

Say, he's he's hurting me. What do you mean he's hurting me? He's hurting this piece of meat. Say no, but it's me, it's not just a piece of meat, right? So on the one hand you say it's you, but on the other hand, it's not you, because even if some no matter what a person does to your body, it's not going to hurt the soul. The soul's not can't be killed or or hurt or maimed.

So the same way that God, it's a one-way thing, that He's not ממש נתפס, you know, that God decided to to become a squirrel, He didn't ממש like become trapped and He's like a squirrel. He's really still like God that's higher than squirrel, but He's like revealing Himself through like the form of a squirrel, cuz He's showing you that He can really, you know, He's higher than any form, and so therefore He can reveal Himself in any form.

You know, the great unknowable beyond is no better than a squirrel. Come on, it's pretty lame, the great unknowable beyond. I know some squirrels that are better than that.

So it's not ממש stuck, it's not like, you know, that's why you can't bow down to something, that would be עבודה זרה. Why is it עבודה זרה?

Because it's not that like that is God. It's a one-way thing. It's Him, but on the other hand, it's Him like your body is is you. It's not ממש you. It's it's you only when you realize that you're something higher, but you're ממש in your body.

Understanding That צמצום Isn't Literal 2:14

So first of all, as far as the צמצום, צמצום is not כפשוטו. So therefore the whole גילוי of the עצמות is in the רשימו, so that's not a problem. So you could have the קו coming out, you could have Godliness be God being revealed in the רשימו in in this limited in the כח הגבול you can still have the גילוי of God as He is like not limited, as He transcends all forms.

וגם מה שהוא מורה העדר התפשטות למטה, but there's another problem is that the רשימו is in a way that it's not מתפשט. It's not it's not just that everything was stuffed in there, it was stuffed in in a way where it's so short that there's no התפשטות, that you don't see In other words, it's it's just like a point, so you have no way to start pulling out the Godliness from it.

Like the משנה is still talking about the same thing as the גמרא, so it has you have something to work with to figure out that really it's representing more than what's there, and so you can see how really it's it's a little bit that's containing a lot. But the way that God makes the world, like if God would just create this rock, that's what God God would create a rock and just have it floating there, never changing, nothing, just sitting there, right?

And you're going to come along and you're going to see this rock, you're never going to figure out that there's any higher reality, because you're you're just stuck.

It's like the you know, those video games where like the bad guy and like you know you have to like jump across these things, and like after you're on them for a second they fall and you you know, he keeps jumping across, you know what I mean? So like there, you know, like you always wonder why did the bad guy make it that he can get across?

He could just make one of these big pits without those things and then he would be stuck. You know, so that's what it would be like if you just had like the רשימו, you know what I mean, God just stick us here in the world and we'd be stuck. We'd never have any way of getting anywhere, you know, cuz we wouldn't have anything to work with. We just have this rock.

All we know is the rock. So that's the ענין of the רשימו. So the question is how can we ever possibly be expected to find God if the world and the way that God makes the world is in a way of a רשימו where it looks like totally thrown and totally separate and it's just like this thing, and it doesn't seem to have any meaning, whatever? So it's in a way of העדר התפשטות למטה.

So even that אינו בבחינת צמצום גמור, it's not a complete צמצום that God is like preventing us from seeing Him. רק מצד שהוא בבחינת כח ההיולי כו׳. The only reason why there's no inherent גילוי in the physical world or whatever or in anything really in השתלשלות, that each thing if you just look at it isolated you can't draw any conclusions from it, it just is what it is.

That's like the ענין of the רשימו of it. That's because it's in a way of כח היולי. That's because it really has the power to reveal God's whole עצם.

And so, therefore, you could make anything out of of it. Okay, so, therefore, until you can compare it to something else, you don't have a reference, and you can't make anything out of it.

So the fact that like a person that was just isolated in the world wouldn't be able to figure out like, you know, you could figure out all kinds of different possible explanations for reality and whatever, and like seemingly there's no like inherent meaning or clue of what the meaning is if you just look at things like on their own, like in a language. How are you ever supposed to figure out what like מיכל means?

Like those letters on the paper. If you were just stuck, let's say let's say you just gave a person a piece of paper that had like one word on it in a different language and tell them to figure out what it means, he's never going to figure out.

Why? Because letters are inherently could mean anything. So there's no way for you to figure out what it means, but it's not because the letters stop you from knowing the meaning, it's because they are היולי, they could mean anything. The same letters could mean something else. So the same thing, the same letters the same creations that God is God's making, God could use that to reveal anything.

The fact that he set it up that certain things reveal certain aspects of him, other things reveal other you know, מידות and other things, he set that up afterwards. That's already from like the קו and everything. Fact that like a person can look at the world and you cannot force him to admit that there like anything is because there's a level of reality where it's just this like this essential existence that is separate from everything and you could attach any anything to it.

The fact that like והנמשל means what it means is you can't prove it to me that those that that ink show me in the ink where you know, that that it should be read that way. You know what I mean? You can't prove that the ו should be read ו from like the ink on the paper, if you're just looking at the ink on the paper, isolated from anything else.

There's no way to prove anything because it doesn't have to be anything. It doesn't have to be that sound, doesn't have to be any sound. All it is is ink on paper. You can't draw any other conclusions. It is what it is, that's it. It is ink into this shape, that's what it is. Anything else you want to tell me about it is not there.

It's something that you're associating with it. So it's a whole nother layer of reality, those associations that you're making. So the fact that inherently you don't see it there, it's not that it stops you from being able to make a language and make associations, it's because it's the essential building block and you can make anything out of it.

That's the way it is with the world, that God set up the world that he first just created all these different isolated things, and then he put them together in a certain order, in a certain form, that still works like a language, that it reveals things. Or like with your body, that is set up in a certain way, so that it reveals your soul, and it works together in a certain way, but it didn't have to be that way, it didn't have to be in that form.

And so if you would just have like a calcium molecule, why don't you see a person there? Because it doesn't have to be a person, a calcium molecule doesn't have to be a person, and it can maybe become part of anything. It's a whole nother thing. כנודע כי כח היולי רק להיות כח מגביל כל זה אור הראשון על כן בלתי מתפשט רק דרך קו לפי אופן השפעה כנודע.

But since the רשימו is this כח that limits the whole original light, it's all there, God's whole עצם is there, so that means that every single thing has this thing that it just is because it is. And that's the שורש of this thing of feeling of the יש גמור. You know, the thing that says the יש גמור comes from the יש אמיתי? That's what it means, that the feeling of a רשימו is a גילוי of the עצמות.

Fact that something is able to be like that that it's just like its own מציאות and it doesn't have any cause, doesn't have any purpose, it is and always was and it always will be, and it's not for any other purpose, it doesn't have any meaning, it's just like its own entity that exists independent of everything else, doesn't need anything else and so that is a גילוי of God's עצם.

That's like a thing of God. And so, since God put himself into every single thing, the whole אור of the עצם is hidden there, and that's why you feel that, that's why you see that as the most basic essential level of everything.

And, therefore, it's only revealed when you make a קו out of it. In order for it to start revealing different things, you have to now put an order on it, because it it essentially is could be in any order.

Creating Order (קו) to Reveal Divine Aspects 9:34

The רשימו is a bunch of אותיות, but each one in itself has the whole עצם. One thing? No, the רשימו is infinite. The the רשימו is the idea of something separate in this case, but it's infinite.

This is a zero of the אין סוף. This is a zero like of like before the צמצום zero. The רשימו is like a nothing, it's like a single point, or less than a single point, it's like a zero. But that's compared to before. In other words, it's a zero of the עצמות or אין סוף, but it's infinite compared when it comes to like אותיות, because the ענין of the רשימו, it says, is like all the אותיות of the השערה, the גלף גליפו, just without the אור.

It's infinite אותיות. The רשימו is everything that God's not, basically. Everything that doesn't look like God, that's the רשימו. God was מגלה to Himself, really, everything that doesn't look like Him.

Only some of them come out, yeah, only the קו only brings out some of the things from the רשימו. Like the משל, like this teacher that he doesn't he only brings out some of the explanations. Everything only comes out by way of a קו according to the way that he wants to bring out the השפעה. In other words, he has to choose to impose a קו on it.

That's like the thing. Like מצד the teacher, there's no מעלה ומטה in his understanding. To him, it's all equal, it's all the same. So he has to create a system and an order, that you have to start here, and then do that, and then do this, right?

Or like that's what it says about this book. It says חסידות is עיגולים, there's no מעלה ומטה, it's all one point. It's all the same level. You can't say that this is like a more basic, this more advanced, this is based on this, it's not true. Everything is its own thing that exists without, you know, everything else, and they're all like really one point.

But nevertheless, it has to be learned in a מסודר way, in an order, in an order, and the first thing is to know the סדר השתלשלות the way it's explained in שער היחוד.

This שער היחוד is a קו. The רביים made a קו of how that you should learn it. But really, this קו is being imposed, and when you start to understand it properly, you start to see how it's all really the same, has the same essential point in it. Just everything a different expressing it a little different way.
