General Idea of the נמשל of the רשימו 0:03

So we just finished explaining the נמשל for each of the משלים of the רשימו, and now we're going to explain the general idea of the נמשל of the רשימו.

ואמנם מכל אלה, however, from all of these משלים together, יובן על כל פנים כללות ענין הרשימו, it's at least understood the general ענין of the רשימו.

What is that? דגם שהוא בא בבחינת הסתלקות הכל, that even though the רשימו comes in a way where everything is removed, ולא נשאר בו רק בהעלם גדול בבחינת תכלית הקיצור ורמז וכולי, and everything is is hidden from it and and it only remains within the רשימו, the original light only remains in the רשימו in a very hidden way,

and so it's very hidden, it's also תכלית הקיצור ורמז, it's completely short and just hinted at, או ככח נבדל וכולי, or it's in a it can also be looked at in a little bit different way that it's it's like something that was thrown, that it's now seen as something that's separate and outside from the self.

אבל מכל מקום, nevertheless, even though the light, the original light that's in it is so hidden and so short, and מזה עצמו בא ונמשך כל פרטי השתלשלות דהקו. From this itself, from this רשימו itself, comes all the details of what comes on into the קו, through the קו.

שנמשך מרשימו זו, it all comes from this רשימו. כי ברשימו זו, because in this little impression, להיותה כוללת הכל בהעלם על כל פנים, since it includes everything, albeit in a very hidden way, היא הנותנת שיוכל לבא הכל בהתגלות על ידי בחינת הקו. This is what gives the possibility that everything should be able to come out from it, should be revealed from it through the קו.

That even though it's true that everything is there, it is very hidden there, but it since it's all there, at least it's there. And once it's there, it can already be pulled out by the קו.

How the קו Extracts from the Hidden רשימו 2:47

And exactly how that's possible will be explained in the next chapter, cuz it seems like it should be very hard to do or impossible to do, so we'll explain how it's able to be done in the next chapter, how the קו does that. But once it's there, it's possible to take it back out. If it wouldn't be there at all, then it would be צמצום כפשוטו, and then it would be completely hidden and would not come out.

Like there are certain things that are that that that don't come out of the רשימו, there's like other ספירות and things that aren't don't come out from the רשימו.

Now, really, they're also hidden there, so really they could come out, but

but the main thing that's in it's in the רשימו is the what was דשיערו בקדמי of what's going to be in השתלשלות. And then even that's so even that's hidden, and then in a deeper way, there's also the whole עצמות אור hidden there, and from that you can pull out anything. Right,

so this is pulled out through the קו עד סוף העשיה, everything in השתלשלות until the end of עשיה, the physical world. וכמאמר כל היצור לא נכחד ממך, like it says that all of what is created, or really יצור means like what what is formed, is not missing from You.

ממך, דוקא, from You, דוקא, meaning from God Himself. That means that everything that comes out in the world comes from God Himself.

שזהו הכל נעשה ונמשך בגילוי כמו שעלה ברצונו הפשוט בעצמות האור שלפני הצמצום, כמו ששיער בעצמו וכולי, that everything in the השתלשלות is done according to, is made and is brought out according to the way that it arose in God's simple will within Himself in the estimation that He made in the light before the צמצום, בקדמי,

שהרי במחשבה קדומה זו ששיער בעצמו, because in this original thought where He estimated it to Himself, and this we mean קדמון here, הוא צופה ומביט הכל בסקירה אחת. He saw everything from the beginning to the end in one glance. It includes everything in it.

דהיינו מה שנזכר בהעלם ובקיצור ברמז ברשימו וכו'. And this, this whole estimation is what's put into this impression, this רשימו, and in this רשימו, everything is seen in a hidden and in a very short and hinted way in one glance. It's all there.

Craftsman's Blueprint as Divine Blueprint Analogy 5:40

So even though it's like one point, but hidden in that is really everything. והרי זו כמשל רושם האומן, and this is like the analogy of the craftsman's blueprint, שממנו דווקא ידע לעשות כל אריכות מעשה הבניין בפרטי פרטיו,

that specifically from looking at the blueprint, the the the craftsman knows how to make everything, the whole house, he can build the whole house from the blueprint, with all of its most minute details, מרישא לסיפא, from its beginning to its end. רק כדי שלא יתעלם ממנו טעמו ונימוקו בעצמותו לאריכות העניין הוא עושה לו רושם לזיכרון. Only, so why does he make the blueprint? Because really, in order to to look at the, you know, the blueprint and understand everything, you have to already you have to know about a a lot of things.

And and the only one that really appreciates the blueprint completely is the the one that made it, especially if it's not like a standardized blueprint.

If it's just like, cuz this type of a thing, the רושם of an אומן doesn't have to be necessarily like a regular like blueprint. It could be just like his personal little notes that he made that only he understands.

So why did he make it? He makes it so that he will not forget the whole reason of why he decided to do it exactly this way. So when he's in the middle of building the building again, שלא יטה מזה, so that he shouldn't deviate from it, ולא יצטרך לעיין בעצמו מחדש, and he won't have to go think about it again. So if he's in the middle of building it, and he gets involved in thinking about how to build it, and then he's he forgets, "Oh, why didn't I want There's a reason why I wanted to put this here and not there.

Cuz now it seems like, oh, it's better to put it there. Why did I want to put it here?" And then he has to go rethinking the whole thing of why structurally it won't work to put it there, you know, or, "Oh yeah, I forgot, they have to run, you know, the the plumbing through that way," or, you know, there's a reason why.

If you want to be an architect, actually somebody was just was just telling me he wants to be an architect, he was just telling me that that they have to study about besides about like the engineering for like to make sure it's structurally sound, they have to study about plumbing, to know how make room for the pipes to go through, and electricity, and all these different considerations.

They have to understand how they work to know how to take them into consideration.

But he doesn't want to have to think about those things while he's building the building. He just wants to think about how to build it. וכמו כן עניין הציונים ללימוד עמוק שבעצמו וכו',

Mnemonic Notes Parallel to God's Original Plan 8:20

so too the idea of making little notes, sort of mnemonics, to help you remember a deep subject, שזהו תועלת לאדם עם כל אורך עיון עומק עצמותו שיש לו פן יטה ממנו וכו'.

If you want to remember the הלכה, and you went this whole פלפול to finally figure out the הלכה, so then you just remember like a short little thing, like the idea of the משנה or something, or even shorter, like a mnemonic, and from remembering that, it will remind you the whole the הלכה with all the reasons and everything and you won't deviate from it.

So the the general נמשל for this is that God, when He made, when He estimated to Himself in on the level קדמון, He estimated everything that's going to be in the world, like it says, כל היצור לא נכחד ממך, that everything that's going to be in the whole history of the world with all the details down to exactly how many hairs are going to be on each person's head, and how many feathers every bird is going to have, and every how many times every blade of grass is going to shake back and forth in the wind, all of that was planned out, and it's all needs to be exactly that way for משיח to come.

That's part of the take of השגחה פרטית that it's דווקא the world is דווקא has to be this way. There's a certain special thing about it that God likes it this

way. And Now, and from that, that's just, so now it's just like looking at the blueprint and bringing out what was already planned: should not, that should not happen. Now, there's a difference between whenever you look at the משל and נמשל, you always have to fix it, and there's a difference here between the משל and the נמשל, because in the משל, you know, it's an obvious question, in the משל the craftsman needs to make the blueprint so that he won't forget, because he might make a mistake or or, you know, just so he won't have to think about it.

So here there's two points: one point is that he doesn't want to have to rethink about it, and the other point is that he doesn't want to deviate. So seemingly God's not going to have to, like he's not going to, "Oh, what was it again?" He's not going to have to rethink about it, and he's not going to deviate. He's not going to, like, make a mistake, like, "Oh, I forgot, yeah."

So, so why, why would this משל apply to God? Why would he make the, why would he need the רשימו? Of course, the answer is that he doesn't need the רשימו, and he's not going to forget, but rather that it in order, and this is when anytime when you go from the משל to the נמשל, you have to switch it around. You have to take the deficiencies that apply to the משל and put it on us, that God wants to make it look like the world is able to run on its own without him having to constantly be involved.

He wants to make it look like it's a one-time involvement, that he figured it all out, and now it's just able to go on its own. And so even though it's still, as long as you're still working like down to the level of אצילות, you still see God as being involved, but you see him as being involved without without really reaching any into his essence, without any real new creative thing coming from him.

You just see him as like following the system he set up. So there's two things that that God wants to make it look like to us: he wants to make it look like he's not going back into the עומק, and he wants to make it look like he's not going to deviate from it, that it's like a system. And the reason that he wants to do these two things is because he wants to put the עבודה on us, to make it that we have to, that we should feel that God set up the world a certain way.

There's a story they say that the רבי רש״ב made God swear that he would not change the סדר השתלשלות when the בחורים understand it wrong, to make them right. So when they're learning חסידות and they misunderstand the השתלשלות, you know, God could just make them right, he could change the השתלשלות. So the רבי רש״ב made him swear that he wouldn't change it so that they would have to work to understand it right.

So that's the one of, that's the thing about the רשימו, that it should be פן יטה ממנו, that he shouldn't change from it. That God makes it like a commitment, so to speak, with himself that he's going to run the world in a certain way, and by making it that he doesn't change from that, that's what gives us the thing that we have to do עבודה, and that it's important that we should do things דווקא this way and not another way, that he wants משיח to come like this, and he's not going to let us off with without, you know, without accomplishing that particular goal.

So that's one of the things that makes it hard. Also, he wants to make it look like it's not something that's coming always straight from from, it's not come, like every moment is not coming from his עצם anymore, because if you would see how it's always coming straight from God's בחירה, then it wouldn't make, it wouldn't look like a system. It would look like he's every moment God is just deciding what he wants to do.

Like a teacher in a classroom, if, you know, he makes a system of, you know, for punishment and reward and for how to, you know, mark the grades and everything like that, what the class requirements are, and he makes it like it's a system, like he plans it out beforehand, a class plan, and now we have to accomplish these things, and if you don't accomplish these things, you're not going to pass.

And he wants to look like that is is something that's outside of him as a teacher, and he's just now working within that framework. Otherwise, it doesn't, you don't feel like that there's a weight on you. You don't, you just feel like, "Oh, he's just doing whatever he wants," and you know, so you can just ask him to be nice and to change it. So really, when we דאווען, we do.

We ask God to be nice and to change it, and sometimes he changes it for us. But unless we go, you know, we go past this level, God wants, by setting up this צמצום it makes, it makes us that we should have to do עבודה, and that we should feel that it's like our responsibility.
