One side: Essence remains despite apparent reduction 0:02

ובאידך nevertheless that's the one side. The one side is that you see the whole essence is there. We see really we see what we saw on the one hand it's only a little, it's only a צמצום, it's only a little bit of it. And yet, we see the whole essence is there. Now we're going to say the other side. Nevertheless, ובהחתך אבר הגוף, but when a limb of the body is God forbid cut off, לא יחסר באור וחיות רוחנית של אבר זה, it will not detract from the light and the spiritual life force, spiritual consciousness of this limb.

So that means that if you even though the whole essence of the soul is connected to the body, but it's not trapped there. So if you hurt the body it will not hurt the soul.

וראיה, and the proof is מסומא שנולד שלם, from a blind person that is able to give birth to someone that can see. Their child will be able to see. So if the person's soul was missing the power of sight, they wouldn't be able to give it over because you know, in in in the power of reproduction is to make something that's like you. That's why people give birth to people, and animals give birth to animals, and plants to plants.

You reproduce something that's like you with, you know, a certain minimal variation. But if a person, when if if let's say somebody, God forbid, had their eye gouged out, and they lost the power of sight, if that meant that now their soul did not have that power of sight, so now it would be like oh now it would be like, you know, like the soul is made up of like different powers, and now you took one of them away, and now this is a creature that only has the other powers, doesn't have the power of sight.

And so now from now on it would be like a new species of people that don't see. But that's not the way it is. And even physically, even like the spiritual of the physical, like in the DNA, they still have the letters and the, you know, they still have like the potential of sight in the DNA even. It just has to be brought out, it has to be brought out into actuality in like a healthy eye and everything.

And even when if the DNA gets messed up, I mean this already I don't know exactly how it works, but like I know when they try they tried with like fruit flies to like make, you know, make like wingless fruit flies, and so they they used like genetic engineering and breeding and stuff to to make them have smaller and smaller wings, and like defective wings, and they tried to get rid of them.

And what would happen is that it would get closer and closer to like not having wings, and they'll get like more and more mutated, and then after a few times it would revert back to perfectly healthy flies. Like the next generations would all of a sudden be be again totally normal, because there's something about, you know, that the way that it's that it's set up and stuff that like it the the you know, the soul forces it to follow a certain form, and prevents it from like really departing from that too

much. כידוע, as is known, אין זה רק שהרוחניות הוא בהעלם. Why is it that a blind person can give birth to a a child that can see? Because the spiritual power is still there in a hidden way. וישנו במציאותו חופף על חיות הגשמי שבגוף, and it exists in its totality, in its, you know, perfect state hovering over the physical life force of the body. ונקרא צלם איש וכולי, it's called the form of man.

So the soul has this spiritual form that hovers over the body, and that, you know, makes the body go the way it's supposed to go. And you kind of even see this a little bit with like something like a phantom limb or something, you know, when somebody like loses a limb, they still like can feel it sometimes, because like as far as their conscious in their brain, they could feel that hand, just that there's not the hand isn't there, but sometimes they'll still like feel it.

That's like already still like somewhat a physical thing also, but for sure as far as the soul they're able to, you know, like in a dream, for sure they could have the whole

thing. והיינו על דרך הנ״ל בידיעה שבהעלם וכולי, and this is like the knowledge of the of the teacher that is hidden in his short explanation. So when the, from the teacher's point of view it's all there, and really even from the student's point of view it's all there. So too, from the soul's point of view it's all there, that it has the whole חיות and it, it really still has the power of sight or whatever, you know, power that it, that it lost.

And even the body really has the whole thing. Like we said, like even the DNA, it's really there. And stuff like that. It's just that it's בהעלם. And even more than that, we said really, like in the משל of the short explanation, really the whole depth is there. So, so too, really the body could reveal the whole light of the soul. It's just that the body needs to be refined and everything to be brought until it's able to reveal it.

And like, when time of תחיית המתים, when משיח comes, then the body will be refined enough, it'll be able to reveal the whole light of the soul. And that's why, by the way, people don't live forever now, because right now the soul, it's like painful for it to be in the body, because it's not able to be true, express its whole essence in the body. And so it doesn't want to stay in the body, and so it, you know, after a while it kind of it gets sick of it and start and it starts to pull out of the body, and that's why the body starts to, you know, to go down until a person dies.

But if the whole the whole essence of the soul would come into the body and it would want to like its whole רצון would be in to be in the body, then even from one little part of the body, it could grow back the whole body. It could regenerate the whole body, even from one little part of the body. Like with the לוז bone, the way it's going to be by תחיית המתים.

Like you see by like a child, when a child is born, the whole child develops very, very quickly from like a little one little cell, two little cells, you know? And really, the body could do that all the time, if the soul would come into it all the way. וכל זה מבואר באריכות במקום אחר, and all of this is explained elsewhere at length. So those are the main two משלים.

And now we're going to say quickly that there's also a few other משלים like this. וכן כח התנועה הרוחניות כשבא בתנועת הגשם מצמצם בעצמו וכולי. So too, when you move,

the power the spiritual power of movement has to be limited severely in order to come and make a particular movement. The whole power of movement is not revealed or brought because it's you could, you know, it's infinite. It can make so many movements. And if now it's just coming into one

movement. ועם כל זה התנועה הגשמית מחוברת ומקושרת בתנועה הרוחנית. Nevertheless, the physical movement has to be connected to the spiritual movement, or else it won't move. Like I said, dead dogs don't bark. If the soul the whole essence of the soul would not be there, then there would body wouldn't be able to move.

But nevertheless, the movement is not doesn't really capture the the soul. So if you just move the body, it won't make the body alive, you know? Like Frankenstein wouldn't work. In all these cuz like the the whole thing was like, well, if you make electricity go through the body, it could make the body move. But that's just the physical thing of it. But that would not give the body life, because like we said before, the soul, the whole essence of the soul connects to it, but it's not trapped there.

It's not really like it's not really it's a really a one-way thing, you know? Like a square is a rectangle, but rectangle isn't a square kind of thing? That like the soul comes into the body, and so the whole essence is connected there, but if you have the body, you don't have the soul. So if you have the soul, the body will be able to move. And if you don't have the soul, the body will not be able to move.

But even if you move the body, it won't really be the capture the thing of the life of the soul. וכגונא באופנים אחרים, and so too with other types of משלים, כמו ענין השכלת שכל פרטי מכח המשכיל שלו שרובו עולה בהעלם וכולי. Similarly, with other types of משלים, like when a person comes up with a particular idea, the person's whole genius is really expressed in that one idea.

But nevertheless, this idea does not capture his whole genius. So if he wasn't such a great genius, if he wasn't so smart, he wouldn't be able to come up with this idea. And, but this idea does not give you, if you like understand what he said, you will not be a genius like him.

But only he could come up with the idea. But in order for his genius to come up with this particular idea, he has to limit his genius and just bring out in one very limited way. But nevertheless, he still has his whole power of intellect, and he could come up with another idea. He doesn't have to just come up with this idea, he could come up with any idea.

And he knows he can come up with any idea. And on the other hand, if you look at this one idea, you see not just the idea, but you see the genius. And so you see that he could really come up with any idea. And not only that, if you'll really study what he wrote, or what he, you know, said, it will start to make you smart like him, and you'll start to think like him until you'll be able to come up with ideas like he can.

That's the idea of אותיות הרב, that the letters themselves, not the idea, but the way that he said it and whatever, has hidden in it, like, his way of thinking. Which is, by the way, like what is said about the משנה, it says that if you In order to understand the משנה, what that that, you know, the the wisdom and the the the way that they understood things and thought was so much greater and smarter than the way that we think, it's really a Godly intellect, it's it's not even it's it's not even humanly possible, really, to understand that, to think that way.

So how what do you do? Says if you study משניות a hundred times, the angel of the משנה comes down and teaches it to you, and then you'll understand it. And what that means is that when you keep going over the letters of the משניות over and over and the ideas, it sets up your brain to think like the משניות. Every time you review it again, it like filters your brain more and more, and it reinforces the, you know, those patterns and that way of thinking until you'll be able to get the way that they that that the תנאים thought, and then you'll be able to understand it.

And that's the way it is with anything, like it says that with like a מאמר, if you learn it sixty times, then you get the עצם. Then you כאפ עצמות.
