Tikkun Originates from the Tools (Kelim) 0:05
That's the main thing of תיקון comes דווקא from the כלים. That that's דווקא, the whole thing of תיקון is ריבוי הכלים וכולי.
And that's the whole thing also, the תיקון of the explanation like like right in front of us that the that the that the תיקון comes from the fact that it is so much explanations דווקא in the external letters. I just want to make a comment.
Yeah? Based on this, the New and Improved Kabbalah Series is the אורות of תוהו and the כלים of תיקון. That's exactly what it is, right.
I mean the the New and Improved Kabbalah Series is is is the שער היחוד, it's not a different thing. Right, but when the Rebbe said the אורות of תוהו and the כלים of תיקון, he meant, write the New and Improved Kabbalah Series.
Yeah, because that the whole ענין of חסידות is that, that's what חסידות is all about and that's the key to חסידות, right. That's exactly what it is. It it it gives it a lot of כלים and it's דווקא the חיצוניות הכלי, it means in explanations that will go דווקא to the total external world.
And that's what the תיקון is.
If it was from the side of the light, why can't the light get conjoined with another light? It's דווקא the כלי that can take opposite light.
Tikkun Through the Body, Not Just the Soul 2:36
The main תיקון in a way of an אדם is not so much from the side of the soul, but דווקא from the side of the
body.
You can fix one up from fixing up another one. He's talking about acupuncture. Right. And stuff like that. Right.
See, they knew about acupuncture back then.
In other words, when the חלישות is from the inside, not from the כלים, then you can't do that.
Mind Light Requires External Tools to Strengthen 4:13
In other words, where the light of the mind is starting to go, you can't just work up some heavy מדות and it'll help it, it won't. Right.
But the strengthening of the heart will actually help the brain also. Like like exercise will help everything, including the brain. Right. And also the whole thing of like when you give a shot, if if somebody's got an an infection in his brain, you you can give a shot in his תחת. You don't have to put it straight into his brain.
That's why when you when you smell onions, your eyes start to water. Right.
ויובן זה יותר במה שאנו רואים במידות דחו"ג שהן הופכיים ומנגדים ממש, that from all the different מדות, חסד and גבורה are that are the most opposite ones.
Opposite Measures: Chesed vs Gevurah Explained 5:44
Like חכמה and בינה they have opposite תנועות,
but they're not actually opposite things. They're really the same they do the same thing, really. Even נצח and הוד is is is it's it's opposite תנועות, but it's not really opposite things. Whereas חסד and גבורה is ממש opposite things.
They actually go against each other. Right. That the חסד tends to do exactly the opposite, and it does the opposite of what גבורה is.
אך כאשר באין המידות בכלים, כמו למחשבה, ולדיבור, ומעשה בפועל ממש, when it comes in
כלים, in other words, of מחשבה, דיבור, ומעשה in actuality, יוכל
In other words, that like like one of the things that the what he was talking before, like יהודית and all that stuff, יעל. Right. That they they they gave him a big smile, you know, and stuff like that. And that's the whole thing. You see, I mean, that's like with a car salesman, that he's giving you a big smile like he loves you, you know.
So you see that a person can act, especially the the farther out you go, to think is not so easy, to talk is easier, and to act is is very easy to act opposite of what you what's inside your
heart. וגם לכעוס בלב על אוהבו בלבו, ולרחם בלבו על שונאו כו', even that is is possible, because that's in the heart. And the the heart, since it's a it's a כלי, it can be the opposite, but in the heart, it's not so easy. אדרבה, the more external it gets, the more easier it is, Right. to do the opposite of the מידה.
In happiness, there is also fear, and in anger, there's also mercy, and vice versa. This is all דווקא from the כלים, because in actual the in the actual light of happiness, there is no
fear. וכך אנו מוצאים בו' ימי המעשה, and this we find in the in the six days, that those are
Every day has its own special work.
Each Day’s Unique Light and Its Tools 8:51
But nonetheless, you see that in every day, there's really the ענין of all days.
So that, you know, in in in in in in in Sunday and Monday of the week, there's basically really all the ענינים are there.
When a thing is in actuality, then it can't be a perfect, it has to be a מורכב. Right. Like you can't have water, just water.
Water always has a certain amount of fire in it, because it has a temperature. Everything looks very accurate and closely aligned with the prompt guidelines.Right. And you see that if you take water, even if the water is like only room temperature, but it'll warm up a colder place, because there's
some there's actually fire inside of it. Right. And and actually it's even more מורכב than that, but
so in the actual externals, the total external, there's no such thing as a perfect non-מורכב thing. מה שאין כן כשהאור והשפע עדיין בלא כלי, hold up, more פסק דין למעשה דווקא, like to instance a פסק דין for actual מעשה, you can't have a totally perfect דין or חסד of a פסק דין, שבהכרח יכלול חסד בדין ודין בחסד,
you can't have like a total מה שאין כן שאינו למעשה, when it's not למעשה, you can say, you know, whatever you want to say. ונמצא, שמבחינת, שמצד בחינת החיצוניות, הכלי שהוא למעשה, that you know, it's דווקא the actual action, שם הוא עיקר בחינת ההתכללות כולו דא למיבן, and and the easiest thing to understand it is how in in actual מעשה you can smile opposite of what you feel.
Death Penalty as a Complex Tikkun Process 11:34
Now, when there's a death penalty, a פסק דין of a death penalty, Yeah.
isn't that total גבורה? Where is it total גבורה? Where is it not? Well, actually it's not, because the whole reason in the תורה for death penalty is in order to be a כפרה for the person. Okay, but even Well, that's really a חסד. even even the worst death penalty that you can see is המן.
Okay. המן, there was a death penalty on him immediately, with no No trial. No trial, because just think about it, in a regular death penalty, the fact that you had a trial, that's already a ענין of חסד.
Right. Right? That Just the fact that you have a trial means wait a minute, what do you mean, we all saw the guy shoot the other guy. Right. You can't kill him on You say, "Wait a minute, you can't kill him on the spot. You have to have a a בית דין." What's the בית דין? The בית דין is actually a חסד for the guy, that you're giving him a chance Right.
to prove something. So, what do you mean, what's to prove something, we all saw him kill the guy, let's take him and lynch him. Right.
So, here's the worst case scenario, המן. Right. There was no trial. Right. The king got so mad at him when he found out what's going on with המן, that he said, "Take him and hang him right now." Right.
It still was not possible to do that. To do what? Hang him right now. It took a little bit of a while to hang him.
Okay, but they took him right out and hung him. Doesn't matter. They couldn't, in a real דין, the minute like from from the מידת הדין from upstairs, he would just die on the spot.
Okay, well they could, if they had the means, they could have just took a gun out and shoot the guy. Would still take a second. Okay, but I don't know if that that's applies over here. I don't know if that means over here that It takes time. It takes time, but it would take a time, it means there would be a a commutation of the of the actual דין.
The דין from upstairs I think might might mean like this is that the only תיקון for עמלק is to break it, That's That's perfect דין, where's the חסד? That's not חסד. Sure it's a חסד, because the his תיקון is is to break him like a כלי חרס. No, no, that The תיקון of a כלי חרס No, no, that's the next thing he's going to talk about, that actually in the light is to break it, once you break it, it's not it's not טמא anymore.
No, that's not the thing. That's That's the thing of this התכללות of the lights, that really the lights are really really the דין is also a חסד, and the חסד is also a דין. That's That's there what's he going to be talking about later, this התכללות of the lights, that in the in the source of the light, the the the real thing of דין is חסד, to protect the public.
You know? But this is not this This is a commutation, a חסד The fact that it that because of the amount, the כלי חרס itself that was טמא and now you've made it a new כלי? That No, that's the intention. That's not in the actual In the actual מעשה, what we're I think what we're saying Not an actual מעשה. That's in the intention, that the real intention of דין is really חסד.
Even with עמלק, when we're killing him, it's a total דין, even then, the real inner intention of that דין is חסד. That's what he's going to talk about later in the chapter, of how really there is התכללות in lights also. But מצד the כלים That's in the מקור, yeah, but that's in the מקור of the light.
מצד the כלים, the fact that because of their the ריבוי הכלים, meaning that it takes time, and all that, therefore there's automatically התכללות. It doesn't just go like he's just going to die. Yes, just In other words, the As soon as you say he's to die, he's going to die. From the light, I mean, if if a light of דין, the light of מידת הדין totally didn't let an let an ability to for there to be a world.
That's why He had to be משתף חסד with it. When it was from the light of דין, it says that originally He wanted to create the world with דין, and He saw that it wouldn't stand, so He made it He had to be משתף חסד with it. Right.
That's from the side from the side of the light. Doesn't say חסד. Says רחמים. רחמים, okay. רחמים means that He's משתף חסד with it. So, so the thing is from the side of the light,
דין would just it wouldn't be able to exist
Right. And especially the minute that you you have a דין on him, he would stop existing immediately. Right. Right. But in מעשה, you can't do that. Even you see the like even you say like, okay, so you take a gun out and shoot him, it takes time, even though over there it took three hours, and here it takes three seconds. It's not just because you decided he's dead.
Right. It has to go through the כלים, and the כלים are going to hold it up a little bit. They're going They're going they're going to give him a commutation.
There's a certain degree of a commute there, commutation. Excuse me, that's a commutation. Yeah, a delay. A delay of the of the דין. Right. And not only that, because of the delay of the דין A delay of the דין is חסד. Not only that, because of the delay of the actual דין, there can actually be a change, like we see nowadays when they put people on death row that they're going to die, they can change and they can go off of death row.
Not only that, that's by the way, also with עמלק, that was the whole thing. That when you when when he he he he held up with with אגג, it ממש did change something, that he he was able to have a continuation.
All right. You know. Right, but if not for the ריבוי הכלים, meaning for the commutation of the sentence, so then, and it would just be instantaneously, so then there wouldn't be. It would be, like you just said, is that the world would be destroyed.
Right, but you see that even where in terms of מעשה, even where was that's how it was by אחשורוש and המן. He had a total דין on him. Right. It still took some time. In other in other words, the minute המן saw, says the minute המן saw אחשורוש's face, Right. he knew that he knew that it's all over. Right. He just He saw אחשורוש's face, he knew that it's all over.
So if it would be from the lights, it would have been immediately all over. Right. You know, like like in Harry Potter or something like that, just the fact that he saw, immediately the guy would die. Right. In other words, what they say, if looks could kill, Right. then he would die immediately, on the spot. But nonetheless, you had to first say to the to take him out, and they have to take him, and they have to drag him, and they have to hang him up there, and so on.
It took time. It took time. So that means that because it had to go through the כלים, he got to live longer. Right, and it could have even changed before that. And and it could have even changed. You know, like like what happened with ושתי.
Right. If if if if she could have kept long alive a little bit longer, he would have he would have stopped being mad, and he would have kept her.
Right. You know. So so the main thing is that by by by מעשה it no matter how pure it is, like by אחשורוש, his anger was totally pure anger. And even in that anger, though, the anger, because it's actual, it's really, it's not totally pure in the actual when it how it comes out, there's also a התכללות, and therefore, the anger can also diminish.
That's why anger can diminish. Mhm, right. In the lights, it can't diminish. Right. And the lights, they can't diminish. Only because of the the כלים, it'll actually diminish. Your heart will get actually angry and angry, but then it'll It'll diminish, right. Right, it'll diminish. Like they say, if you just give it a little bit of time, it'll actually diminish. Right.
So, you see that דווקא in the חיצוניות of the כלים, דווקא there is the התכללות, ודי למבין. And that's the thing of כלים. Right.
And it's really from the inner intention from the inside. Right. So So, the thing is, like, for instance, by יעל, the reason that she was able to smile at him was really because of the inner intention
The שם מ"ה דא"ק. The the the inner intention of what the מידה is going to be was able to change it over so that the כלי should become בטל to the to the to the light. Right.
Inner Intent (Shem HaMah) Overrides Apparent Light 21:25
And that's why he's able to do it. Right. It's really because of the inner intention. In other words, why is the guy How come the salesman can smile at you like that?
It's because really of the inner intention. He wants to make money. The שם מ"ה דא"ק, it has to do basically with the שם מ"ה of א"ק. Right, like the goyishe saying, "Don't get angry, get even."
Yeah, but it has to do, in other words, with his self-image. Right. His self-image of being the greatest salesman. Aha. That's why he can smile at you, right?
Like, for instance, in when you go to Disneyland.
So what does it have to do with the self-image with יעל? Her self-image that that that that she was going to she intended to kill him. Right. Right? And And the thing was that her self-image of א"ק of what she was and what she's going to do was that she's willing to do anything in order to come up with it. Right. That's in the intention,
not in the כלי. Right. That was her original intention, that was in the inner intention. That she's willing to do anything In other words, she saw herself as a Mata Hari. Right.
That she'll be able to accomplish this thing because she's really willing to go on a total מסירות נפש in order to do what needs to be done. Right. In order to kill him, which what she really wanted to do, but not just she wanted to kill him, she was willing to kill him so much that she was even willing to make it look like she's not angry,
right, and treat him nicely. In other words, when she was treating him nicely, she had to really treat him nicely, otherwise he would feel it. Right.
You know, in other words, she had to put on an actual act with actual מידות. Right. Not just כלים, cuz if it were just כלים, he would feel it. Right.
You know. So, and and that is what caused the כלים to become בטל to the light. Right. Because really, it was from the inner שם מ"ה.
The inner שם מ"ה דא"ק said that this is how it should be and it should be like this, because of the inner because of the inner intention.
In other words, he's saying it's not from the it it it might be that from the light itself, the intention of the light is not like that, but the שם מ"ה דא"ק, the inner inner intention, was like that.
The the the the the the inner inner intention was like that.
Especially that we're talking about א"ק, that א"ק the whole ענין of א"ק is a רצון לרצון. It's a רצון to come up with any רצון you need in order to get this thing done.
So, for instance, in a in a guy whose א"ק is that he's a great salesman, he has a רצון To have a רצון to like anybody.
You know, like what's his name said, Will Rogers, "I never met a man I didn't like." Right.
So, it's a רצון to have a רצון to like anybody. Right. But the real intention is לאו דוקא to actually do a good for him.
It's a רצון to find a good way to talk to him, and you see this thing in missionaries, which are kind of salesmen. Right.
That they actually work themselves up that you love everybody and you really love them, but really it's not a love. Right. It's an intention of a hate.
It's really an intention of גבורה, which is control. Right. They want to control this person really. Right. And this is also the things, you know, how to win friends and influence people.
Yeah. If you look at that thing, I mean, the title of the book is to control people.
It's a great-selling book. Right. You know. So, it's the intent of the intent, the רצון לרצון.
And the שם מ"ה וכו', which is even before the רצון לרצון, means from the actual intent of what he wants to do.
And that comes from the הארת הקו, that in the קו, really all the lights are the same.
Because the קו is the essence of the אין סוף, and in the אין סוף חסד and גבורה is ממש the same thing. Because in the inner intent of גבורה is חסד.
And in the inner intent of חסד of the king is to have proper courts of law.
Like that's why you'd think why are they called When the whole ענין of the seven מצות is דוקא דין. Right. Including to have a בית דין, because from this דין comes a world of חסד.
Right. דוקא from the דין comes a world of חסד, not from a world of חסד. From a world of חסד would actually come a world of דין.
Right. If you just let anybody do whatever they want to do. Right.
Internal Light vs External Influence on the Smile 27:46
So, it seems like just opposite. It's really coming from the דוקא from the lights, and the ביטול is דוקא in the פנימיות הכלים, which is where the light hits and it feels that inner intention, and that's why it's בטל to it.
Right. In other words, the smile is not coming from the external thing. A real smile of a salesman has to come from the inside of his face, not from the outside of his face. Right. Otherwise, it'll look like a phony smile. You say, "I don't like the guy the way that I don't like the way that guy is smiling at me." No, he has to convince himself that he really feels this.
Right. So, the thing is that the actual light has to be a light of a smile, even though it's an intention of really just controlling you, which is really גבורה, and the smile has to come from the פנימיות הכלים, not from the חיצוניות הכלים. Right. וזה הטעם דוקא בפנימיות הכלים יש התכללות, כמו הכוונה שבמעשה המצות, שמתכלל ב' הפכים וכולי, like the כוונה in the מעשה of the מצות that brings together two הפכים, והיינו כמו עצמות וגידים,
and that's like the bones and the nerves that come out of them, מה שאין כן גוף המעשה, where in the גוף המעשה it's not like that. There is no actually התכללות in the גוף המעשה.
Hold on, let me put in another tape.
